Purpose of the W.O.R.D. Ministry
Through scripture we see how God placed women together in relationships to encourage one another and provide a place
of retreat. Just as God sent Mary to Elizabeth and Ruth to Naomi, He continues to place women together for mutual support,
accountability and friendship. This is why we need women's ministry in the local church.
Mission Statement
We are a community of women that exist to extend the transforming presence of Jesus Christ to women in all life
seasons and is committed to their growth through prayer, worship, study, service, fellowship and outreach.
W.O.R.D. Goals
Prayer: Women committed to pray daily for the church, leadership and women's ministry. Praying for the presence and
power of God to have full reign and rule in our lives. (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
Worship: Women coming together to worship and praise God. Women leading women into the throne room of grace.
(Psalms 95:6)
Study: Women committed to study God's word and teach others. Also where the aged (older) women are teaching and
training the younger women. (Titus 2:3,4)
Service: Women serving other women as well as Serving in different areas in the Womans ministry (Ephesians 6:7)
Fellowship: Women coming together for fellowship, fun and friendship building. (2 Corinthians 8:4)
Outreach: Women extending their hands to help others in need (both spiritual and physical) (Mark 16:15)
